OBJECTIVES

1. Define Nature-Based clinical practice and its therapeutic foundations.
2. Explore several different Nature-Based interventions and how to adapt for indoor, outdoor, telehealth, and community-based settings.
3. Build awareness of how to Integrate nature-informed practices ethically and inclusively across diverse client populations and clinical environments.

SUMMARY
Nature-Based Therapy does not require forests, trails, or outdoor offices. The principles of Nature such as rhythm, cycles, interconnection, sensory awareness, and regulation can be woven into clinical work in any setting.

This experiential training equips therapists with practical, adaptable interventions that bring the regulating and relational qualities of the natural world into offices, telehealth sessions, schools, agencies, and community settings. Participants will explore sensory-based practices, metaphor integration, grounding strategies, and environmental adaptations that are accessible regardless of geography or setting. Grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, this workshop emphasizes flexibility, consent, and creativity. Clinicians will leave with concrete tools and greater confidence in incorporating nature-informed approaches wherever they practice.
