Policies
Grow With Nature is focused on building an accessible community, education opportunities, and resources for those interested in integrating Nature into their professional practice in an ethical way. We recognize that the Nature spaces and our connection to Nature is still devastatingly impacted by historical trauma rooted in the idea that Nature is a resource that can be used and abused. To us, Nature is living and breathing presence woven into all of us that should be honored and nurtured. We intend to continue learning/promoting the work of intentional inclusive growth, and unlearning/advocating for decolonized change in our views and connection to Nature.
Transparency is important to us. This page overviews our business policies which aim to reflect an ethical, and community informed approach.
Building Community
Community to us means reducing barriers for people to show up, and also holding space for others to contribute to strengthen our community connection. To foster accessibility, in addition to our paid content, we want to continue offering free meetings, free retreats, free webinars, and other free content. In our spaces, we aim to practice radical hospitality where everyone feels a sense of welcome, inclusion, and belonging with the larger goal of building genuine relationships with our community.
We believe in reciprocity as a means for sustainability and honoring contribution, moving away from the colonizing mentality and more toward holding space for others. If Grow With Nature becomes a rooted space for you, we hope you feel inspired to contribute to the community in a way that feels authentic to you, and that we can find ways to support you in your passion.
Scholarships
We recognize that everyone has different financial means, and we want to reduce barriers to our paid content. As our community grows in abundance, we want to be able to gift that abundance back to the community. We are happy to offer scholarships as simply a gift with no expectations. For those interested, we also offer scholarships with the idea of a fair energy exchange, meaning that maybe you have something else you would like to offer supporting Grow With Nature (e.g. photography skills, hosting a webinar, networking opportunities) as a different way to reciprocate the energy/time invested. Please email info@growwithnature.org if you are interested in a scholarship.
Cancellations/Refunds
All paid classes, both virtual and in-person, are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend a paid-for class, the funds may be applied to another Grow With Nature paid class/consultation within a 12-month period of the initial paid event. In order to transfer the funds to another event, please email info@growwithnature.org within 24-hours of the missed class start date indicating that you would like to use the funds toward something else.
All consultation and supervision is expected to be paid per instance of meeting, unless another payment plan is agreed to within a binding contract agreement. Consultation and supervision will be put on pause until funds from the previous meeting are paid.
If an outdoor class happens during an unsafe time to be outside (e.g. storm, smoke, extreme temperature), class will switch to an indoor space. If an outdoor class happens when it is not safe to travel, then the class will switch to a virtual platform, or be rescheduled.
